Key dates

• Lease end: 12:00 noon on your final day.
• Showings: during the last 30 days of your lease, Metro X Realty may show the unit and display For Sale, For Rent, or Vacancy signs.
• Final month's rent: nothing is owed — it was prepaid at signing. Fees and the end-of-lease HOA charge are in Rent & Payments.

What you need to do

• [ ] Remove all belongings and trash from your bedroom and shared areas
• [ ] Clean your bedroom, and help clean the kitchen, bathroom, fridge, stove and oven, and common spaces
• [ ] Photograph your bedroom and shared areas
• [ ] Return your keys as instructed
• [ ] Submit your own Metro X Realty Move-Out Report Form after moving out — required for your refund

Each tenant submits their own form, but only one full set of common-area photos per unit is needed — kitchen, bathroom, stove and oven, fridge, and shared spaces. Coordinate with roommates on who submits it. Bedroom photos are always expected, after cleaning.

If you have already moved out and cannot take photos, explain that on your form. We will review what is available, but missing photos may affect your refund.

Cleaning focus areas

These cause most deductions:

• Stove and oven — burners, stovetop, oven interior, surrounding surfaces
• Refrigerator and freezer — emptied, shelves, drawers, and doors wiped
• Bathroom — shower or tub, toilet, sink, mirror, floors
• Your bedroom — fully emptied and wiped down
